Comment Rules

While the Authors encourages free debate and criticism, My Rejoinder does not have a ‘free comment’ policy, as it tends to generate a lot of junk comments and hatred. Before writing a comment, please think about it. It would be appreciated if your comment is in form of a proper letter (should be courteous, without the use of slang,  and abbreviations), addressed to the Author, or to the person who commented above you (if your comment is about another comment).

The editors are free to delete any comment, which they feel, is inappropriate. The editors do not have the time to explain why any particular comment was deleted and those whose comment is deleted should simply accept that the system here is run by the editors, which may sometimes feel arbitrary and occasionally unsatisfactory.

An ideal comment would be crispy and detailed; with some analysis or information that contributes to the topic, and would be one or two paragraphs in length. Short comments of a sociable nature (greetings, etc.) are discouraged. However, appreciative remarks, or valid criticism about the authors or any person who comments are always welcome, if they are based on rational judgment and backed by well documented facts. Comments may also include URLs pointing towards other articles or blogs.

The editors are looking for comments from people who seem to know what they speak, demonstrating more rational, well structured argument than mere emotions. The authors and editors are highly qualified, and are looking for civility and a willingness to share ideas and information in a non-dogmatic way. Comments that are simply insulting or libelous, should never be posted. Comment deletions are final and non-negotiable, and persistent attempts to argue with the editors into questioning their judgment is something that will not be tolerated.

Please remember that the posts here are not intended to be a balanced story that you might see in a newspaper or a magazine, but rather the posts put forth the thoughts of the Authors who have been either, invited to contribute due to their qualifications, or have shown interest in contributing well researched, fact based thought provoking posts.

“My Rejoinder” is not a place to seek political or personal favor, and neither is it affiliated to any religious, political, non-profit, interest group or any other such organization.  This pernicious game of seeking favors through writing is something that is not played here, and neither will it be ever tolerated. A variety of points of view is all to the good, and the Authors at all times will try to put their views which are backed by facts.

Having said this, it is the sincere hope of the Author’s and the Editors that the discussions will be an asset, and will be gratifying to readers and writers.
